A freelance Fine Artist, working with a variety of media to communicate a narrative that is both personal and universal.  Drawing and stop motion photography are my current tools.

My media consists of rejected found toys/dolls and cloths which have their own history and I choose by serendipity.  I then process these by taking them apart and recording this process with drawing and photography then re embroider these into new pieces using a variety of methods.

The narrative comes from the materials themselves, my memory entwined with folk tales told to me as a child growing up in the grey, wet, slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, in North Wales.

Carys Anne is now residing in her lovely homeland of Wales and is sadly no longer a director at Hazlehurst Studios
