Hazlehurst
Camera Collective

Welcome to the home of Snap & Social. This is more than just a photo walk. It's a monthly meetup, a way to catch up with your pals and meet new people. It's being outside in nature or exploring urban landscapes.

We walk and talk, while taking photographs. Any camera (yes even your phone!) and any photographic ability is welcome. Beginner to professional, all of our walk attendees enjoy mindfully composing a shot, or just taking quick snaps, the choice is yours to make.

Many of our Camera Collective members come along on these walks, so it's a great chance to meet them and find out more about the little photography loving community we have right here in Halton.

Hazlehurst Camera Collective - we are a friendly group of photography enthusiasts. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month - sometimes more often.

We take photos, develop film, print traditionally using enlargers in the darkroom, scan negatives using a high resolution negative scanner and of course we don't shy away from digital photography either!
The most important thing for many is enjoying the processes involved in producing images we love.

We are based out of Hazlehurst Studios and all of our developing and darkroom sessions take place here.

We print black and white photos traditionally in our darkroom at Hazlehurst equipped with 35mm  and medium format enlargers.

We have enough developing tanks and space to enable groups of 3 or 4 to develop different films at the same time. C41 (colour film) processing is now a breeze with our temperature controlled water bath and of course black & white processing.

We have had a few exhibitions within Hazlehurst so far since the group was started which has been lovely. There have been many proud moments from our members seeing  their photographs up on the wall with the names next to them and being able to show their friends and family that they did that.

It costs just £7 per month to be a part of the Collective, which includes all darkroom and developing chemicals, monthly meeting fee and meeting room hire, access to our expanding photographic literature and equipment library, WhatsApp group peer to peer support and being part of our friendly community.

How do I join?
