Pumpkin Pottery Painting with Woolyback Crafts - A Spooktacular Showcase

On October the 14th and 15th, Courtney aka Woolyback Crafts embarked on a weekend of pottery painting, in the first of this kind of workshop at Hazlehurst Studios. Courtney made great use of our beautiful new rooms at 71 High Street, even decorating with gorgeous handmade halloween bunting! If you haven't been to Hazlehurst Studios before, then Courtney guided people to the venue with some handy videos and parking advice - top customer service!

Across the weekend people were invited to paint their very pumpkin ornament or larger scale pumpkin lanterns. Before you could put paint to pumpkin, Courtney explained the whole process and the high and lows of working with ceramics.

Once you have finished painting - they need to be left to dry

Courtney then takes them away to be glazed and fired in her kiln (which is offsite) - It is well worth following Courtney on Facebook/Instagram to see these processes! The colour changes that the glaze goes through is amazing.

Everything then gets packaged up and collections are arranged.

Her next workshops sessions have a Christmas theme - from a Christmas Plate to your own tree decorations, but we need to let you know now, that one session is already sold out, with the rest quickly filling up.

You can find Courtney on Facebook and Instagram - where you can see peeks into her works in progress and her other current projects.

If you have any question for Courtney about upcoming workshops or suggestions for workshops - then please pop her an email! Link to email
