Hazlehurst Studios is proud to be a vibrant creative collective. We actively support our resident artists, makers, and community partners by sharing and hosting their incredible projects across the entire borough—which is why you will see our events popping up in so many different venues and unique spaces!

Because these projects are independently run or collaborative community efforts, booking systems, registration requirements, and ticketing costs will vary from event to event. Please check the specific details for each listing below to secure your spot directly with the host.

Upcoming Special Events & Workshops

These are our one-off events, special workshops, and unique festival dates happening throughout the next few months

Throughout August (2nd/8th/22nd) : Last few chances to take part in this funded project! Enjoy hands-on pottery sessions with Woolyback Crafts Booking links open exactly one week before the events.

5th August (11am to 1pm) Copper the Corn Snake Kickstarter Event, Curiosity Bookshop: FREE promo event! Meet the Author, illustrator, and real-life corn snake behind this exciting new children's book. Enjoy sketches, colouring activities, and learn how to support the Campaign.

6th August (Also on, 13th, 20th & 27th August ) : 'Favourite Things' Youth Zine Project, Community Shop (Runcorn): FREE workshop for youth aged 8-16 living in Runcorn with Toni-Louise Carter! Design a zine to be riso printed, ending with a celebration on the 27th. Booking required via Eventbrite

7th August : Cocktails & Cross Stitch with Rosie Roo, The Bakehouse

Unwind on Friday night stitching cocktail-inspired designs! Paid event (£26pp) including all materials. Beginner-friendly. Reserve your spot directly via Ticket Tailor.

8th August : Halton Nature Watch at Market Fest, Widnes Market: Join Halton Nature Watch at Market Fest! Get hands-on with fun art activities, meet Animal Teach, enjoy live music, and explore community stalls. FREE drop-in event.

16th August: Pokémon Community Day with Dawnstar Gaming, Runcorn Hill: Join Dawnstar Gaming at Runcorn Hill for Pokémon GO Community Day! Play, trade, and catch together. Get in touch directly or check Eventbrite for details.

Our Regular Monthly & Ongoing Sessions

These are our core regular sessions, staple monthly meetups, and ongoing partner groups that run every single month at Hazlehurst Studios.

12th August: Hazlehurst Book Club, August meeting (Hazlehurst Studios) – Join us to discuss our book of the month, reserve your free spot online. £3 entry fee payable on arrival covers refreshments. Everyone welcome! Book Here

14th August: Hazlehurst Urban Sketchers (Walton Gardens, Warrington) – Bring your sketchbook and capture the garden, buildings and nature at Walton Gardens in a relaxed outdoor drawing session - Please book on here (free event)

August: Hazlehurst Camera Collective, Hazlehurst Studios

Ongoing throughout August

Dawnstar Gaming at Hazlehurst Studios. Weekly Dungeons & Dragons for adults and youth, plus fortnightly Warhammer sessions and various community gaming events all year. Contact Dawnstar Gaming to join.
